Sticky Honey Soy Chicken Drumsticks

Ingredients

  • 6 Chicken Drumsticks

  • ¼ cup of Soy Sauce

  • 2 tablespoon of Honey

  • 2 cloves of Garlic

  • 1 tablespoon of Sesame Seeds

Prepping Glaze

  • Mince 2 cloves of Garlic

  • Add garlic, honey, soy sauce to a bowl

  • This will be used to glaze and baste the Chicken

Instructions for Marinating & Cooking Drumsticks

  1. Marinate the chicken in glaze for 30 minutes

  2. Ensure the chicken is well coated in the mixture

  3. Bake at 200°C for 35-40 minutes

  4. Baste with the sauce at regular intervals

  5. Garnish with sesame seeds before serving

Creamy Garlic Butter Chicken Thighs

Ingredients

  • 4 Chicken Thighs (bone-in, skin-on)

  • 2 tablespoon of Butter

  • 4 cloves of Garlic

  • 1 cup of Cream

  • ½ cup of Chicken Stock

  • Salt & Pepper

Making the Creamy Garlic Butter

  • Mince 4 cloves of Garlic

  • Measure out butter, cream and stock

Instructions for Cooking Chicken Thighs

  1. Pat Chicken Thighs dry with paper towe, season generously with salt and pepper

  2. Heat Olive oil in a large skillet or pan over medium-high heat

  3. Place the Chicken skin-side down and sear for 4-5 minutes, until golden brown or crispy

  4. Flip and cook the other side for 2-3 minutes, remove chicken and set aside

  5. In the same pan, reduce heat to medium, add butter and let it melt

  6. Stir in minced garlic and cook until fragrant (30 seconds)

  7. Pour in Chicken Stock - return the Chicken Thighs to pan

  8. Cover and let simmer for 15 minutes, allowing flavours to envelope

  9. Stir in Cream and mix well to create a creamy butter sauce

  10. Simmer for another 5 minutes - or until sauce thickens

  11. Garnish with Parsley or Thyme before servicing 

  12. Best to serve with mashed potatoes, rice or bread
